Respawn Website: A gaming Community Platform

This one started a little differently not in a café, but in a startup Slack channel, where the challenge was simple: “We need more people downloading the app”
Respawn had already taken shape as a gaming app where users could host tournaments, connect with fellow players, and build their gaming presence. But it needed a front-facing platform, a place to invite newcomers in, explain the app’s soul, and give them a reason to tap that download button.

High Fidelity Design
Where vision meets pixels. These final screens reflect the heart of Respawn — a vibrant, competitive, and community-first platform, brought to life with rich colors, clean layouts, and intentional storytelling.
Each screen was designed to reduce cognitive load and increase trust so the user isn’t just using finance, they’re understanding it.
Landing Page
First impressions matter
Goal: Prompt new visitors to explore the app’s benefits and feel welcomed into the gaming community.
Design Thought: I approached this like a cozy game café a soft but bold welcome, focused CTAs, and clear messaging. No distractions. Just vibe and value.

Tournament Page
The Competitive Core
Goal: Let users explore and join upcoming tournaments, whether casual or ranked.
Design Thought: Think leaderboard + bulletin board, but cleaner. The challenge was to balance clarity with excitement.

Explore Page
Content Meets Connection
Goal: Encourage social discovery — let users find gameplay clips, user updates, and connect with others.
Design Thought: Like flipping through a zine or community board. Casual, scrollable, but with intent.

Key metrics
What Changed after Launch?
“The website became more than a billboard: it became a bridge.” It didn’t just inform visitors it converted them by aligning storytelling, design, and purpose into a single interactive experience.
I’ve always thought that design is more than how it looks it’s how it works. Here’s what the Respawn website helped unlock once it went live.
+42% increase in app downloads (within 3 weeks of launch)
18% of website visitors clicked the "Download Now" CTA
Avg. time on site: 2.6 minutes — strong interest from first scroll
Tournament page views rose by 60%, indicating high user interest
35% of users who visited the Tournament page ended up signing up or showing intent to join an event
Explore page content interactions (likes, comments) went up by 28% in the first month
Majority traffic: mobile-first (approx. 70%) validating the mobile app push

Final Chapter of this story
Like the last few pages of a good book, this project left me with more than results. It left me with insight, wonder, and a few well-earned coffee stains on my sketchbook.
Designing the Respawn website wasn’t just about pixels and prototypes. It was about building a bridge — one that invited gamers in with curiosity and led them to a vibrant, social, tournament-ready world waiting on the app.
I learned how powerful intentional design can be when it respects the user’s time, honors their habits, and nudges them gently toward connection. From the Landing Page’s quiet invitation, to the Tournament Page’s confident structure, to the Explore Page’s scroll-worthy stories, every screen was a sentence in a larger narrative — and I’m proud of how it read.
There’s always more to write. But for now, I close this chapter grateful — for the caffeine, the late-night inspiration, and the chance to bring a digital community to life, one thoughtful click at a time.
Conceptualization: Wireframes & User Flows
Before building anything beautiful, I built it rough. This stage was about asking: How should this app feel to use? Not just what it should do.

The Goal
To design a high-converting, story-driven marketing website that introduces Respawn’s value, speaks directly to community-driven gamers, and nudges visitors toward downloading the app on Android and iOS.
All wrapped in a scroll-friendly experience that says: “Hey, this isn’t just another app. This is where you find your people.”

Overview
One app. Two worlds. Total control
In my head, I didn’t just see a landing page. I saw a digital welcome mat like the first chapter of a good book or the menu at your favorite food spot. It had to feel alive, community-driven, and most importantly, personal. Because let’s be honest most gaming sites feel either too loud, too cold, or like a half-baked leaderboard. Respawn needed warmth. Purpose. Personality.
